House System and Co-Curricular Activities

Members of the staff and students of classes from III to XII Std. are divided into four houses:

As the head of each house, a member of the staff acts as a house-in-charge who, with the other members of that house looks after the general progress of the pupils under his / her supervision. House meetings are held on every Saturday. The agenda for each meeting is carefully chalked out one week before by the activity in charge under the guidance of the Principal, which consists of organization of various festivals, inter house competitions like declamation contests, debates, essay writing, poem recitation, painting, Rangoli and sports, competitions etc. held regularly to inculcate in the children creative capabilities and competitive urge in various inter school competitions. Activity in charge keeps a record of each Meeting and at the end of the session, best house is honoured and given a rotating trophy.

The Student Council

The Head Girl of the School is Ms. Gurkirat Kaur of Class XI.She is the head of the Student Council assisted by a team of Prefects. Prefects are given each one section of every class to help maintain discipline and order in the school. They all work under the guidance of the Head Girl and the House Conveners.

Head Girl’s Message

I am Gurkirat Kaur student of XI. I am also the Head Girl of the school. I am very grateful to my Principal and Teachers’ to have bestowed on me this honour. I thank you all to have rested your faith in my capabilities. I know it is a very big responsibility but I am also confident that I can live upto the expectations of my Principal, Teachers’ and above all, my fellow students.
I am proud to be a GNDian.
